- 2 pears, peeled, cut in half and cores removed
- 150ml apple juice
- Place the pears cut side down in a small saucepan and cover with apple juice.
- Put a lid on the pan and bring to a simmer.
- Simmer for 20 minutes before removing from the heat.
- Leave the pears in the poaching liquid until you are ready to serve them.
Makes 4 poached pear halves.
