This is a very easy way to make crisp slices of bread for topping with roasted tomatoes and brie.
Serves 4 or more.
Ingredients:
- 1 half-baked baguette
Method:
- Heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius if a fan oven (220 if non-fan).
- Slice the half-baked baguette into 5mm slices (or thinner if you can manage).
- Arrange on a parchment (or silicon sheet) covered baking tray.
- Bake for 8 minutes.
- Take out of the oven and leave to cool on a wire rack.
- Place in an air tight container and use within a day or so, otherwise they start to lose the freshness.
