An electric stand mixer is ideal for taking all the effort out of making this pastry.
Ingredients:
- 150g plain flour
- 75g butter, cut into cubes and best at room temperature
- pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoon water
Method:
- Put everything into the mixing bowl of the stand mixer and mix on low-to-medium speed for a few minutes, or until all the butter is well broken up.
- Remove the bowl from the stand mixer and use your hands to press the crumbs in the bowl into a smooth ball of dough.
- Wrap the ball of dough in cling film and chill for at least 30 minutes.
