By running the oats through a blender before cooking you get a smoother consistency as well as a slightly quicker cooking time.
Serves 1.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp (21g) porridge oats
- 125ml milk
Method
- Run the porridge oats through a blender until finely chopped - the sound will change when all the big oats are chopped up.
- Put oats and milk in a microwave proof bowl and stir well.
- Microwave on full power for 90 seconds.
- Stir well, making sure to stir in any more solid bits stuck on the bottom.
- Microwave for a further 30 seconds at full power.
- Leave to stand for a couple of minutes before eating.
- Great with some mashed banana stired in and a bit of powdered cinnamon.
Serves 1.
