Smooth Baby Porridge

By running the oats through a blender before cooking you get a smoother consistency as well as a slightly quicker cooking time.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp (21g) porridge oats
  • 125ml milk

Method

  1. Run the porridge oats through a blender until finely chopped - the sound will change when all the big oats are chopped up.
  2. Put oats and milk in a microwave proof bowl and stir well.
  3. Microwave on full power for 90 seconds.
  4. Stir well, making sure to stir in any more solid bits stuck on the bottom.
  5. Microwave for a further 30 seconds at full power.
  6. Leave to stand for a couple of minutes before eating.
  7. Great with some mashed banana stired in and a bit of powdered cinnamon.

Serves 1.
