This is a simple way to use up some vegetables and make a tasty crispy side dish for a curry night that can be prepared ahead of time.
Ingredients
- 5 carrots, coursley grated
- 2 small potatoes, coursley grated
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp mild chilli powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 100g gram flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp cold water
Method
- Mix the grated carrot, potatoe, baking powder, turmeric, chilli and cumin together in a large bowl.
- Add the flour, salt and pepper to taste, and stir well.
- Sprinkle the water and olive oil over the mixture and mix well once more.
- When you're almost ready to eat, pre-heat the air fryer to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Put about a tbsp dollup of the mixture onto a baking tray in the air fryer and repeat until the mixture is all gone.
- Cook in the air fyer for 12 minutes, turning after about six minutes.
- Serve with a curry or other spicy meal.
