This is a simple Tiramisu recipe that doesn't require any raw eggs, but still gives a creamy dessert.
Ingredients
- 400ml double cream
- 250g mascarpone
- 75ml marsala
- 5 tbsp golden caster sugar
- 300ml dark coffee
- 175g sponge fingers
- 25g dark chocolate, finely grated
Method
- Mix the cream, masacarpone, marsala and sugar together with a whisk.
- Whisk until it starts to get thick and form stiff peaks.
- Once the cream mixture is whisked, soak half the sponge fingers in half the coffee.
- Layer the soaked fingers in the base of a deep dish and cover with half the cream mixture.
- Add half of the finely grated chocolate over the top.
- Repeat with the other half of the spongue fingers, coffee, whipped cream and chocolate.
- Chill for at least 5 hours before serving.
