The garlic buttern in the middle of these burgers keeps them wonderfully moist and rich.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken mince
- 40g breadcrumbs
- 6 tbsp garlic butter, frozen in a roll and then sliced into 4 pucks.
- 4 tbsp plain flour
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 100g breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp garlic butter seasoning
Method
- Mix the chicken mince with 40g of breadcrumbs and use a burger mould to make into 4 burgers (or 6 child-portion sized burgers), placing the frozen garlic butter in the middle.
- Freeze the chicken mince burgers (using circles of greaseproof paper to stop them sticking together) for at least an hour.
- Put the flour, eggs and remaining breadcrumbs in three separate bowls and add the garlic butter seasoning to the breadcrumb bowl.
- Put the frozen burgers in the flour, egg and then breadcrumbs to get a nice coating on them.
- Return to the freezer for at least another hour.
- Cook at 160 degrees Celsius in an air fryer for 35 minutes for adult size, 27 minutes for child size. 30 minutes to 35 minutes, until a meat thermometer reads 75 degrees.
